More Russians are Coming
(7/12/2010) Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) reports that Russian airline Aeroflot have received permission to operate twice-weekly flights between Moscow and Denpasar and that the current twice-weekly charter between Russia and Bali by Transaero Airlines will soon be converted to scheduled services.
Transaero is operating a Boeing 747-400 aircraft on this route. It is unclear what type of aircraft will be deployed by Aeroflot for the Bali service from their long-haul fleet of Ilyushin IL-06 and Airbus A330s.
It is widely expected that the added capacity will be in operation by late December when Russian traffic is at a peek.
