THE WINNING TEAM

The kitchen team of Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel and Suites took great pride in being the 3rd winner of an annual event called the “naked chef cooking competition”. More than 20 participants from 5 star hotels/resorts and high end restaurants took place in this year’s event. The event was organized by the Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) – BPD Bali inline with the 52nd anniversary of KODAM UDAYANA.

The concept of the competition is to provide raw materials where each team will have to create an appetizer, main course and dessert. Based on a lottery system, each team member tries to create not only a tasteful dish, well presented but also to finish based on the time given.

Participants from Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel were Wayan Suwanta – Sous Chef Main Kitchen (Hot), Wayan Suastini – CDP Main Kitchen (cold) and Soma Suardana – Pastry. Under the specific guidance of Executive Chef Adi this wining team created Trilogy Indonesian Kudapan as the appetizer, Stuffed Fisf with Mushroom Ragout served with Bergedel as the main course and Kolak Parsied with Strawberry Salad as  the desert.

Chef Adi was very pleased with the results, not only did his team win at 3rd place but the competition was categorized as strong and tight competition. Beating other hotels like Royal Pita Maha, Peninsula Resort and Spa, Discovery Kartika Plaza, Sector Restaurant and Bar and other exclusive restaurants shows that the kitchen team of Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel & Suites has great talent in creating breathtaking dishes.

Facing the high standards and trends of the culinary world, Chef Adi believes in consistent training, confidence, discipline and enriching knowledge by doing, creates a team that is innovative and has high standards. He is very curtain that the kitchen team will always be winners in the upcoming future.
