WE'RE OFF TO THE RACES! The Melbourne Cup, 1st Nov 2005
In following with an annual tradition, The Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel and Suites recently hosted the annual "Live Screening" of The 2005 Melbourne Cup. As in the past years, hotel guests and friends from Bali attended this exciting and always lively party held at the hotel. Fashionable hats, champagne, great food and even a fashion parade- all added to the lively atmosphere of the event.
All guests participated in the sweepstakes, with attractive prizes being won -depending of the outcome of the race. " This event is an annual for our hotel as we know our guest's, especially those from Australia, have this event as a MUST SEE on their calenders. So even if the are on holiday in Bali, we will make sure they feel right at home, come the time for the Melbourne Cup", said Keith Bell, General Manager of the hotel. “It’s worth to come to Bali and watch it live among old friends” said John Deane who flew down again from Australia just to have fun watching this year’s race as he did last year. A fund raising was also held through raffles and gift purchases and the proceeds raised were allocated for the Sanur community charities that are organised by the hotel. The Melbourne Cup celebrations held annually at the Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel has truly proven to be an opportunity for all to celebrate and to give back to the community.
