Business As Usual In Bali... February 3 2005
It's business as usual, in fact booming- as reported by most hotels and restaurnats in Bali. Despite the slight earth tremors experienced last night, these occasional tremors have become part of regular life in Bali and is no cause for concern. The tremors that took place in Bali were a non event.
Bali experienced the usual slight tremors on the night of February 2nd 2005, the effects of a minor earth tremor on the island of Lombok, Indonesia. The island of Lombok (to the east of Bali), home to many dormant volcanoes, regularly experiences minor tremors due to its many dormant volcanoes. A normal occurence for many years, the tremors that take place on Lombok island, occasionally ripple to the island of Bali and the surrounding areas.
Already a common yearly occurence in Bali, the slight tremors were felt for approximately just 3 seconds. There was no damage to property nor injury to life. The tourism industry continues to boom in Bali, well on its comeback route. Guests planning a holiday to this magical island are in fact encouraged to visit Bali at this time of the year due to the glorious sunny skies, cool breezes and cool nights, occasionally combined with light rain.
Bali continues to welcome its visitors, especially with the coming of the new Lunar Chinese New Year. Every one is geared up and the bubly enthusiasm on the island is evident in the smiles of its people! It is an enthusiasiam and experience that is ment to be shared and enjoyed!
