Helping hands from Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel
Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel & Suites has pledged to help kids in any way possible. A special committee that consists of representatives from each department was established 5 years ago to make sure that the program stays focused and consistent with its pledge.
This year the committee agreed to help kids one week before the Ramadhan fasting month. Panti Asuhan Yappenatim is located in Gianyar, teaches and gives free education to the children that are in need. The orphanage helps 475 children and is home to 174 children (86 boys and 88 girls).
The condition of the orphanage is quite bad, 2 of their class rooms got hit by a landslide and their personal hygiene system is very bad. Their bedroom sleeps up to 15 kids with no beds. The bathroom is basically a huge tub with a bad sanitary system.
The visit took place in one of their praying areas, all kids were truly sincere with what we brought them : 250 kilos of rice, 500 pieces of eggs, 20 kilos of sugar, 20 liters of cooking oil, 10 boxes of noodles and 2 big boxes of blankets.
The Director Sales and Marketing encouraged the kids to study hard and take education seriously. Pratiwi Tjahja also explained the importance of hygiene. Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel & Suites has now adopted 2 orphanages: Kasih Karunia and Yappenatim Orphanage and will keep on helping them for a better future.
